ShotBorn (formerly Cinderloom; "ShotBorn", "we", "us") is an AI creative studio: you type a prompt, optionally add reference images, video, or audio, and we route that request to a third-party AI model that returns an image, video, or other output. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the operator of ShotBorn named in Section 23. By creating an account, ticking the consent box at signup, buying credits, or using the service in any way, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Copyright Policy, which are part of this agreement.
If you do not agree, do not use ShotBorn. If you are using ShotBorn for a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and "you" means the company too.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use ShotBorn. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts, and we delete accounts we learn belong to minors. See Section 6 for what this means for content involving minors.
ShotBorn is a beta product. Features can change, break, or be removed without notice. Generations can fail, be slow, or come back wrong. Model availability and prices depend on third-party providers we do not control and can change at any time.
Credits. Generations are paid for with credits. Each model and setting has a credit price shown on the Generate button before you confirm. Credits are deducted when a job is submitted. If a job fails on our side or the provider's side, the credits for that job are returned to your balance.
Monthly plans renew automatically. A plan bills at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Manage Billing; cancellation stops the next charge and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Monthly credits refresh each cycle and unused monthly credits do not roll over. There is no refund or proration for a partial cycle.
Credit packs are one-time purchases added to your balance. Purchased credits do not expire while your account is in good standing, but they are forfeited when your account is closed or terminated for a breach of these Terms.
Credits are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, exchanged, or withdrawn, and can only be used inside ShotBorn.
Prices and taxes. We may change plan prices, credit pack sizes, and per-generation credit costs at any time. Changes to a subscription price take effect at your next renewal after we notify you. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; where we are required to collect sales tax, VAT, or similar, it is added at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Disputing a legitimate charge with your bank instead of contacting us first may result in suspension until the dispute is resolved.
Backroom is an optional monthly add-on that gives a desktop assistant access to your account. It bills separately, renews automatically, and can be cancelled the same way as a plan. Backroom's AI conversations are metered against a monthly allowance shown in the app.
Refunds are covered in the Refund Policy.
You may not use ShotBorn, or any output from it, to create, upload, request, or distribute content that:
You also may not: reverse engineer or scrape the service; resell access or wrap ShotBorn in another product without written permission; try to bypass credit accounting, rate limits, safety filters, or access controls; or use automated tools to create accounts or submit jobs at a volume that harms the service.
You keep ownership of anything you upload. You give us a limited licence to store, process, transmit to AI providers, and display your inputs only as needed to run the service for you.
By uploading a photo, video, or audio recording of a person, you confirm that either it is you, or you have that person's informed consent to use their face, body, and voice to generate new content, and that you will use the result lawfully. Recording someone without consent, or using a voice or likeness you do not have rights to, is your responsibility, not ours. Biometric and voice data laws (for example Illinois BIPA and the EU AI Act) may apply to you as the person choosing to upload it.
You warrant that you have the rights needed for every input, and that your inputs and the outputs you request comply with Section 6.
As between you and us, you own the outputs you generate, to the extent the law recognizes ownership in AI-generated content. You are responsible for how you use them.
Because of how AI models work: the same prompt can produce similar or identical outputs for other users; outputs may unintentionally resemble existing works, brands, or real people; and no one can guarantee that an output is free of third-party rights. Check outputs before commercial use. Copyright offices in many countries do not register purely AI-generated works.
Disclosure. Everything ShotBorn produces is AI-generated. Where you publish or distribute an output, you agree to comply with any law or platform rule that requires disclosing that it is AI-generated or synthetic (for example EU AI Act Article 50, and the rules of YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and app stores). Do not remove provenance metadata or watermarks that a model provider embeds in an output. Do not present a synthetic depiction of a real event or person as authentic.
Outputs are generated by statistical models. They can be inaccurate, offensive, biased, or simply wrong. Nothing generated by ShotBorn is legal, medical, financial, or professional advice, and text produced by the assistant features (Enhance, Studio Agent, Backroom) should be treated as a draft, not a fact. We do not review outputs before they are shown to you.
ShotBorn does not train or host the models. Your prompt and inputs are sent to third-party providers, including routing services (OpenRouter, AtlasCloud) and the model developers behind them, to produce your output. Which provider handles which model, and where they are located, is listed on the AI Providers page. By submitting a job you agree that the request may be processed by those providers under their own terms and privacy policies, and that some of them are located outside your country (including in the United States, Singapore, and China).
Providers may refuse, filter, or alter a request under their own content rules. We are not responsible for a provider's refusal, downtime, quality, or handling of your data beyond what we commit to in the Privacy Policy.
We may review inputs and outputs, with automated tools or manually, to enforce these Terms and to respond to legal requests. We may refuse a request, remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate an account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk for us or others, or if a provider or law requires it. Where the law requires it we will preserve and report content to authorities. Credits on an account terminated for breach are forfeited.
To report content that violates these Terms, use the Contact page in the app or the email in Section 23. To report copyright infringement, follow the Copyright Policy.
If you choose to publish a generation to the public feed, other users can see it along with your display name and the model used, and it may remain visible in the feed until you unpublish or delete it. Do not publish anything you are not allowed to share publicly.
ShotBorn's software, design, name, and logo belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them except to use the service as intended. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Backroom and any other downloadable software are licensed, not sold, for your personal or internal business use on devices you control. You may not modify, redistribute, or reverse engineer them except where the law allows. Backroom performs actions in your ShotBorn account that you approve; you are responsible for the credits those actions spend.
Media you import into the editor and exports you render are stored for your account. Storage is not a backup service: keep your own copies of anything important. We may set storage limits and remove very large or unused files with notice where practical.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Your data. Deletion removes your profile, generations, uploads, and editor media, cancels any active subscriptions, and forfeits remaining credits. We may close accounts under Section 11, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. Sections 5, 7 through 9, 13, and 17 through 22 survive termination.
SHOTBORN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, LAWFUL TO USE, OR FREE OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, we limit our liability to the smallest amount the law allows.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ShotBorn and its owners, contractors, and providers from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your inputs, your outputs and how you use them, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, email us with a description of the dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it.
Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this clause.
No class actions. You and we agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
Opt-out. You can reject this arbitration clause by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these Terms with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your account email. Doing so does not affect the rest of these Terms.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where the operator named in Section 23 is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer laws give you more protection, those laws still apply to you.
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect, and the version date at the top will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, delete your account before then.
These Terms, plus the policies linked in Section 1, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You agree to comply with export-control and sanctions laws and confirm you are not on a sanctioned-persons list or located in an embargoed country.
